This image represents the sacred trust between aviators and the ground forces they support and was inspired by the Soldiers of the 10th Combat Aviation Brigade and Task Force Falcon who fulfilled that trust daily during their deployment to Operation Enduring Freedom XIV (May 2013 through January 2014). Task Force Falcon, comprised of AH-64D Apache, UH-60M Blackhawk, CH-47F Chinook, HH-60 MEDEVAC Blackhawk and OH-58D Kiowa Warrior helicopters, were bolstered by national guard units from California, Hawaii, Massachusetts, Missouri, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, and Texas, in order to provide combat aviation support to eastern and northern Afghanistan. TF Falcon conducted air assault, close combat attack, reconnaissance, security, MEDEVAC, and sustainment operations in support of Coalition Forces in Regional Commands – East and North in order to enable Afghan National Security Forces to assume full responsibility for security within their respective areas, while assisting in setting the conditions for enduring and effective governance and sustainable economic progress.
